Settings and options

The VS Code extension

In VS Code's settings, under Intrepid:

Setting Default What it does
intrepyd.pythonPath empty The Python interpreter the editor runs intrepyd in (to simulate, verify, read its library blocks and import programs). Empty: the interpreter selected by the Python extension (recommended).
intrepyd.licenseFile empty The license file the engines run under, given to intrepyd as INTREPID_LICENSE. Empty: the license intrepyd finds itself (see The engines' license).
intrepyd.editor.showGrid true Whether the circuit editor shows its grid. Blocks snap to it either way; Grid, in the editor's ⋯ menu, switches it too.

Intrepid Studio

intrepid-studio [FOLDER] [--port N] [--no-browser] [--python PYTHON] [--license FILE]
Option What it does
FOLDER The project's folder (default: the current one; made if missing).
--port N The port to listen on, on 127.0.0.1 (default: a free one).
--no-browser Do not open the browser: the address to open is printed.
--python PYTHON The Python intrepyd runs in (default: the one the studio runs in).
--license FILE The license file the engines run under, for this session.

The address printed and opened carries a random token, asked of every call: the studio serves only the browser it opened, and only on your machine.

Saved with a circuit

Some settings belong to a circuit, and are saved in its file, so that a run can be repeated:

  • the stimuli and the number of steps (the Stimuli tab);
  • the engine, the timeout per property, the max depth, and proof certificates (the Verify tab);
  • the MC/DC decisions, the longest test and the timeout per condition (the MC/DC tab).
